The Chamber can stamp your export documents electronically via e-cert – the fast and efficient way of getting your documentation returned to you.
e-Cert & e-Cert eXpress

Electronically Generated EC & Arab Certificates of Origin

WHAT IS e-Cert?

e-Cert is the Electronic Certification service and is a venture between the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) on behalf of the Certification and International Trade Committee, the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and i2i Limited.  Since the launch of e-Cert Version 2 early in 2003, it has allowed exporters to apply electronically for EC and Arab Certificates of Origin directly from their PCs connected to the internet.  On the 1st November 2005, a further development of e-Cert was launched called e-Cert eXpress.  This new development allows the exporter to apply for a Certificate of Origin on-line.  The Chamber can now check, approve and stamp the Certificate of Origin electronically and return it direct to the exporter on-line who then prints it out at their own premises.  a-Cert eXpress, for Arab Certificates of Origin, was also launched nationally in August 2006.  Following successful trials with the exporting community and the ABCC, you can now apply for certified only documents via the a-Cert eXpress service.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

  • Speed - An approximate 1 hour turnaround time
  • Cost Savings (Couriers, Postal Service, Staff Resource etc)
  • No Additional Cost Implications to the Company
  • Efficiency
  • Effective Communication
  • A Professional End Product
  • Security - Absolute security in the processing of documents

NEW ADDITIONS TO e-Cert

Previous applications in V.4 will be carried over to V.5 so there is no loss of data, but exporters should not create applications in one version and send in another as this can cause an error.

Previous applications can be copied in V.5 without an issue but they should then be sent using V.5.

If you have any questions regarding e-Cert World or e-Cert V.5 please see www.e-cert.org.uk or alternatively contact us at i2i on support@i2i-solutions.net tel: 01749 340214

*If you are unable to scan your own signatures, we can do this for you at £12.00 + VAT for members and £15.00 + VAT for non-members per signature

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • A computer running Windows 98, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 or Windows XP
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
