The Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the launch of its new Eco-Business Group.

Arising from a recent Crunchy Breakfast event and led by Chamber Member Steve Whiteway of Phoenix Office, the Group will seek to hold regular networking and information sessions on topics relating to sustainability in business. 

Steve Whiteway said “As we enter 2010, it is gratifying that so much interest has been generated in the Eco Business Group, under the auspices of Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.  With the support of Plymouth City Council, The University of Plymouth and the valued Chamber members, I am convinced we can play a pivotal role, both in reducing our joint carbon emissions and by the provision of Eco-trade in the City.

Only by working collectively as a cohesive unit, can we make strides to achieve our objectives as we move towards 2020”

Events will include briefings from senior environmental professionals within the Plymouth City Council and the University of Plymouth alongside case studies from businesses within the city who are keen to share their experiences in achieving green accreditation with others.
