Plymouth's Economy
The City's Economic Strategy: The City's Local Economic Strategy (LES) was launched in 2006. To download the Strategy - visit the Plymouth City Council web site.
‘Healthy’, ‘Wealthy’, ‘Safe and Strong’ and ‘Wise’ are the four visionary goals that have delegated responsibility from the Local Strategic Partnership Board for co-ordinating the delivery on the visionary goals for the City Strategy, through the strategic objectives. The Chairman of the Plymouth Chamber, Doug Fletcher is the Chair of the Wealthy Theme Group, the Group responsible for the development of the City's Economic Strategy.

Our aim is to develop a more enterprising, vibrant and diverse local economy that strengthens local businesses and enterprises, which will attract investment, share prosperity and create better employment opportunities for local people.
